Wet Scrubbers are effective equipment for air pollution control. They are able to remove particles from industrial exhaust fumes. A Wet Scrubber operates by introducing the dirty fumes with a scrubbing liquid. The scrubber is able to clean air pollutants by capturing them in liquid droplets. These droplets are collected creating wastewater referred to as Scrubber Blowdown. Met-Chem manufactures Zero Liquid Discharge System ZLD or Wastewater Treatment System to treat scrubber blowdown.
Met-Chem has the expertise, experience, and technology to treat a wide variety of wastewater generated from wet scrubbers, including fumes generated from Chrome Plating, Nickel Plating, Electroplating, and much more.
Please contact Met-Chem to discuss how we can design, manufacture, and install a complete Scrubber Blowdown Wastewater Treatment System for your company.
Achieving Zero Liquid Discharge (ZDL) can be accomplished with an Evaporator and a Filter Press. Scrubber Blowdown is stored in a holding tank until it is ready to be processed. The wastewater is pumped into a heated tank system where the Evaporator will evaporate the water. The wastewater will concentrate. The concentrated slurry will be pumped into a filter press to capture the solids. The filter press will also keep the heated tank clean and provide a seamless operation. The filtered water from the filter press is returned back into the heated tank for evaporation.
Met-Chem can manufacture a Zero Liquid Discharge Treatment System. The Evaporator and Heated Tank System can be manufactured with a gas-fired burner, steam coil, or electric heater. Each Filter Press will be designed to your specifications. The manifold and piping can be constructed using, but not limited to CPVC, Carbon Steel, or Stainless Steel. As your operation grows, our filter presses can be expanded by adding additional filter plates, reducing the need to purchase new costly equipment.
An Atmospheric Evaporative Tank is an excellent solution for wastewater reduction and Water Evaporation. It is free of complicated machinery and chemistry, and it can actually save you money.
Those looking for the greatest evaporation rates at a given temperature will choose an atmospheric evaporator for its high efficiency.
Dewatering of waste solutions can save the users of evaporative tanks thousands of dollars in disposal costs. Where the need is for only 3 to 4 gallons of evaporation per hour, no added heat is required. Heat for evaporation is taken from the room.
