Dry Stack Tailings are becoming an increasingly viable and attractive alternative to tailing impoundments in the mining industry. Met-Chem can manufacture a new filter press to Reclaim Your Water into reusable water. Each Filter Press will be designed to your specifications. The manifold and piping can be constructed using, but not limited to CPVC, Carbon Steel, or Stainless Steel. As your operation grows, our filter presses can be expanded by adding additional Filter Plates, reducing the need to purchase new costly equipment.
If you need a quicker turnaround time in your mining operation, it might be wise to consider a membrane press. A membrane press is identical to a standard Filter Press except that the chambers (area between the plates) have membranes to squeeze out excess water from the slurry.
When the press is filled to about 80% capacity (this is determined by historical information and/or by the timing of the diaphragm pump), this is the ideal time to inflate the membrane diaphragms to provide the extra squeeze.
Membrane Filter Presses have proven to be successful in many mining applications. The faster the filter press is able to achieve the desired cake dryness, the quicker the press can be turned around for more batches to dewater.
