The dump cart is to be used with the proper size and load capacity forklift truck.
All industry stands should be observed in forklift truck operation.
As with any skid on a forklift truck, the load should be tilted back when transporting.
When the dump cart is elevated for dumping, the load should still be tiled back so that the fork tube tips are higher than the corners at the rear of the forks. The dump cart is fabricated such that the forward wall over the roll-off container will be sloped into the roll-off as the dump cart is tilted.
As always, care must be taken to ensure the dump cart is clear from all surrounding objects as it is being lifted and lowered, moving forward into position and especially moving backward away from the roll-off dumpster.
As a fail-safe measure, yellow safety straps may be added to the fork tube area of the dump cart ab. These yellow straps would be large enough to handle a full load of a full dump cart.
Once the dump cart is safely over the roll-off, the locking pin may be released and the dump cart should be free to dump the sludge into the roll-off.
Once the sludge is dumped, care should be taken to verify that the tilted dump cart will not hit the roll-off as the forklift truck backs up.
Back the forklift truck away from the roll-off and lower the dump cart to the ground.
Re-secure the dump cart to its full upright and locked position.
Return the dump cart to the Filter Press area, or its storage area.
